Diana Stevens Recognized by Marquis Who's Who for Excellence in Elementary Education

From 1975 to 2014, Ms. Stevens taught young students in Olathe Unified School District 233 that they have the capacity to follow their dreams



    OLATHE, KS, March 31, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Diana Steven has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Now retired, Ms. Stevens celebrates a career as an elementary school teacher whose compassion and love of teaching inspired countless students to be successful in their academic studies. From 1975 to 2014, she taught young students in Olathe Unified School District 233 to follow their dreams. Regarded for her excellent teaching abilities, she was the recipient of various awards in her career, including an Outstanding Service Award, 3 Reading Grants, and an Excellence in Education Award from the Olathe Public Schools Foundation. Nominated as an Emporia State Master Teacher, she was also honorably featured Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who of American Women.

Ms. Stevens knew since childhood that she wanted to become a teacher. Before establishing her career, she invested her time and efforts into her own academic achievements. She earned a Bachelor of Science from Mid American Nazarene College (Now Mid-American Nazarene University) and a Master of Liberal Arts from Baker University. As she progressed in her career, Ms. Stevens has been a prominent figure in her industry through her involvement with various educational organizations. She is a member of the National Education Association, the Kansas Education Association, and served on the social committee for the Olathe chapter of the Olathe Education Association. As she looks to the future, Ms. Stevens intends to enjoy her retirement while pursuing her hobbies of portrait art, reading and genealogy.
