Dr. Jennifer Lendl Honored by Marquis Who's Who for Achievements in Psychology

Dr. Lendl celebrates nearly 40 years of professional excellence



    SAN JOSE, CA, April 20, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Jennifer Lynn Lendl has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With almost four decades of practiced industry experience under her belt, Dr. Lendl excels in private practice in San Jose. Earlier in her career, she served as the head coordinator of the Women's Center at San Jose State University. Subsequently, she held other academic roles before becoming a psychologist. She has also lent her services to the Mare Island Nuclear Submarine Base, the Alum Rock Communications Center, the Amen Clinics, The National Institutes of Health, the U,S, Olympic Training Center, and the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Institute, where she has worked as a trainer and facilitator since the early 1990s.

A graduate of such prestigious institutions as Stanford University, San Jose State University and International College, Dr. Lendl holds a Bachelor and Master of Arts in history, and a Master of Science and Ph.D. in psychology. Her professional affiliations include the American, California and Santa Clara Psychological Associations, the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing International Association, the California Association for Marriage and Family Therapists, and the Association of Applied Sport Psychology. She is a Diplomate for the National Institutes of Sports, Division of Psychologists, and Board Certified Expert in Traumatic Stress and Diplomate for the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. Notably, Dr. Lendl wrote "EMDR & Performance in the Workplace" in 1997 to share her knowledge. Throughout her career, she has earned recognition for her professional work through Stanford University, San Jose Mercury News, and the Santa Clara County Women's Fund. Additionally, Dr. Lendl has been featured in two volumes of Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare and three volumes of Who's Who of American Women. She has co-authored professional articles for the Consulting Psychology Journal, Journal of Applied Sport Psychology, the California Psychiatrist, Association for Applied Sport Psychology Newsletter, the EMDRIA Newsletter and the EMDR International Association. She has two book chapters in EMDR Scripted Protocols: Basics and Special Situations by M. Luber, and The Wisdom of Coaching: Essential Papers in Consulting Psychology for a World of Change by R.R. Kilburg & R.C. Diedrich.
