Dr. Seonha Im Selected by Marquis Who's Who for Achievements in Education Management

Dr. Im works to further teaching methodology as a university professor and is a prolific author of books on creativity education



He has been honored with the Academic Award from the Korean After-School Study Association and the Research and Development Award from the Korean Educational Development Institute.

    GWANGJU, GYEONGGI, SOUTH KOREA, May 24, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Seonha Im has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Dr. Im devotes his life to better ways of teaching, using insights derived from his expertise in educational management and the agrarian culture that informs the modern society of Eastern countries like Korea, China, and Japan. Dr. Im researches techniques that promote creativity reflecting the cultural background of Korea. Creativity education has been noted to contribute to better problem solving, innovative ideas, and critical thinking later in life.

Dr. Im's own education began with a master's degree from Seoul National University. He earned his doctorate at Gongju National University and started his career as an instructor at Seoul National University. He joined the Korean Educational Development Institute as a research fellow, where he began to develop his focus in creativity education. Dr. Im soon became a director for the Seoul Education-Welfare Support Center, and later a director for the Hyundai Institute for Creativity Education. He has taught as a visiting professor for Seokyeong University.

While Dr. Im teaches as a professor, he has also authored several works on the subject of creative education, including "Frames of Creativity -DESK Model: Its Application to Education3.0," "Understanding and Educating Creativity based on the Agrarian Culture," and "Development of the Agrarian Culture-based Theory and Model for Creativity." He has translated English works on the subject of learning into Korean, including "Learning Strategies" by John Nisbet and "The Psychology of Creativity and Discovery" by R. Mansfield and T. Busse.

Dr. Im is on the board of directors for the Korean Society for Creative Application, and was formerly a senior vice-president for the Korean Society for Creativity Education. He has been honored with the Academic Award from the Korean After-School Study Association and the Research and Development Award from the Korean Educational Development Institute.

Dr. Im is a collector of antiquarian books. He was honorably discharged from the Korean Army and is not only involved in the education of others, but has a daughter of his own.
