With over three decades experience in architectural engineering, Mr. Albright has been a driving force for building young minds in Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C. His foundation was well developed from a nascent interest in creative pursuits. In 1956, he poured his talent into the U.S. Naval Civil Engineers Corps as a research project director. He holds the rank of lieutenant, junior grade with the U.S. Naval Reserve. In 1958, Mr. Albright took a position as a professor of architectural engineering with Pennsylvania State University, which he held until accepting the venerable position of professor emeritus in 1991. Between 1962 and 1983, he also served as department head of architectural engineering at Pennsylvania State University, leaving the position to serve as program director for the National Science Foundation in Washington, D.C.

Over a long career, Mr. Albright has been affiliated with many architectural societies, notably the American Society of Testing Materials, the Construction Industry Institute, the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute, and the American Institute of Architects. He has also served as a research consultant with G.H. Albright Associates in State College from 1958 to 2012, as well as an adviser for the Construction Specification Institute from 2004 to 2007. Mr. Albright has written "Planning Atomic Shelters- A Handbook," and co-authored "An Illustrated History of Tamaqua." In State College, he has served as chair for the building code appeals board.

Even in his retirement, his campus life has been lively, as he served as president of the Pennsylvania State Retired Faculty Staff Club for one year. He belongs to the Penn State Alumni Chapter of the Triangle Fraternity, serving as president from 1982 to 1986, and was selected for inclusion in numerous volumes of Who's Who in America, two volumes of Who's Who in Science and Engineering, and the 2007 volume of Who's Who in the World.
