Dr. Swibinski is a clinical professor of medicine at the Cooper Medical School at Rowan University, as well as a former clinical professor of medicine for the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey. His specialty is in endocrinology, diabetes, thyroid disease, and metabolism. Dr. Swibinski has been in practice as an internist, endocrinologist, and an educator since 1981, and is affiliated with Cooper University Hospital and Our Lady of Lourdes in New Jersey.

Dr. Swibinski was born in 1950 to Stanley Adolph and Celina Frances Swibinski in Jersey City. He enjoyed biology in high school, and always wanted to help society, which contributed to his decision to enter the medical field. He attended Rutgers University and earned a BA in 1972, moving on to the New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York to earn an MD in 1975. He served his residency there until 1978, with a focus in internal medicine at the Metropolitan Hospital Center in New York City.

The endocrine system, which deals with the hormones and glands of the body, was always a source of fascination for Dr. Swibinski. He became a fellow of endocrinology at the University of Pennsylvania hospital in 1979, and went on to become a fellow with the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School from 1980 to 1981. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Endocrinology and Metabolism.

As a specialist of several debilitating conditions, Dr. Swibinski has won multiple awards, including 2010-2014 Top Doctor by Philadelphia Magazine. He is a former member of the American Diabetes Association, and currently affiliated with the Philadelphia Endocrinology Society, where he served as vice president, member of the board, and as president from 1994 to 1995. Dr. Swibinski also contributes to the Camden County Medical Society, Phi Beta Kappa, Alpha Omega Alpha, the Endocrine Society, and the the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. Notably, the Cooper Medical School did not exist until 2012, though the project had been planned since the '70s. Furthermore, Dr. Swibinski is listed among the school's numerous benefactors.

For dedication in the field of endocrinology and decades of service as a medical professor, Dr. Swibinski was selected for inclusion in numerous volumes of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in the World, the 1987 to 1988 volume of Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America, and the 2004 to 2005 volume of Who's Who in American Education.
