Raymond C. Peck Sr. Celebrated by Marquis Who's Who for Practiced Experience in Consulting & Research

    FOLSOM, CA, August 11, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Raymond Charles Peck Sr. has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Backed by more than 50 years of practiced industry experience in behavioral research, Mr. Peck has served as the president of R.C. Peck & Associates, a professional consultancy, since 2000, and as a senior research scientist with the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation, an independent, nonprofit organization, since 2004. In his position with the consultancy, he has lent his assistance to such institutions as the National Safety Council, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and Dunlap & Associates. Earlier in his career, he joined the California Department of Motor Vehicles in the roles of research analyst, senior research analyst, level two research program specialist, acting chief of research, and chief of research. During his tenure with the California Department of Motor Vehicles, he directed more than 200 studies on human factors and the role they play in crash causation and the efficacy of DMV programs in reducing crash rates; one of his most recent publications is "Traffic Environment and Demographic Factors Affecting Impaired Driving and Crashes," which was published in the Journal of Safety Research in 2012. Even more recent is a 2016 study co-authored by Mr. Peck and funded by the NHTSA (Evaluation of the Safety Benefits of Risk Awareness and Perception Training for Novice Teen Drivers).

An alumnus of California State University in Sacramento, Mr. Peck holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in psychology. His professional affiliations include the American Public Health Association, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Statistical Association, the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine, and The International Council on Alcohol, Drugs & Traffic Safety, as well as numerous others. Throughout his career, Mr. Peck served as a member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Safety Research, as well as Accident Analysis & Prevention. Notably, he has achieved many awards for professional accomplishments, including the A.R. Lauer Award for contributions to driver safety from the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society. Additionally, Mr. Peck has been featured in the 31st edition of Who's Who in Finance and Industry, the 5th edition of Who's Who in Science and Engineering, and the 3rd edition of Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare.
