A prominent and respected figure in his profession for over 40 years, Mr. Kabel most recently was Counsel and Senior Consultant at the law firm of Faegre Baker Daniels. He continues to serve as Republican National Committeeman for the District of Columbia after having served four terms as Chairman of the District of Columbia Republican Committee. Previously, he was a partner at law firm of Manatt Phelps and Phillips. Mr. Kabel served as Special Assistant for Legislative Affairs in the Reagan White House after having served as Legislative Director to Senator Richard G. Lugar (R-IN) and Legislative Assistant to Senator Paul Fannin (R-AZ). He is a co-founder of the Workplace Wellness Council of Mexico and Consejosano, Inc. both of which provide health strategies and services to Spanish speakers. Mr. Kabel served as the first Chairman of Log Cabin Republicans and the Liberty Education Forum. President George H.W. Bush nominated him in 1989 as a member of the Foreign Claims Settlement Commission to which he was confirmed by the United States Senate.
