As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

A talented and well-respected engineer in his field, Dr. Bagaria spent the last 26 years of his career at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, as an assistant, associate, and full professor of aerospace engineering before reaching emeritus status in 2002. During his years out in the field, he worked as a senior engineer for Brown Engineering in Huntsville, Alabama, as an assistant professor of automotive engineering at the GM Institute in Flint, Michigan, and as a senior project engineer of the engineering staff for the GM Technical Center in Warren, Michigan, before being taken on board with the Naval Academy in 1976.

During his lengthy career in engineering, Dr. Bagaria conducted extensive research on a number of topics, including the U.S. Naval Academy Satellite Earth Station Facility, which provides the Naval Academy with a ground station capable of receiving signals from many orbiting spacecraft. The operation of this station, in addition to the satellite signals themselves, has been used in several courses of instruction. He has also conducted independent research, including subjects like weight reduction of suspension components using a hollow bar stock. The research was aimed at reducing the weight of vehicle suspension components by using hollow, instead of solid, bar stock. In addition, Dr. Bagaria has contributed numerous articles to professional journals and has made several presentations in his area of expertise.

Dr. Bagaria completed a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering and a Master of Science at the University of Detroit in 1965 and 1966, respectively, as well as a PhD at Michigan State University in 1973.
