Loris Molent Named a Lifetime Achiever by Marquis Who's Who

    FISHERMANS BEND, AUSTRALIA, September 27, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to name Loris Molent, a Lifetime Achiever. An accomplished listee, Mr. Molent celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. An aeronautical engineer by trade, Mr. Molent has been a principal research scientist for the Defense Science and Technology (DST) Group in Melbourne, Australia, since 2004. The DST, previously known as the Defense Science and Technology Organization (DSTO), is the research and development arm of the Australian Department of Defence and exists to enhance Australian defense capabilities, contribute to the development and implementation of Australian defense policies, and provide assistance to the defense organization and Australian industry through the application of science and technology.

Upon completion of earning a Bachelor of Science at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 1983, Mr. Molent went to work as an experimental officer for the Aeronautical Research Laboratory in Melbourne for six years. During these years, he also served as an airworthiness engineer for a short time for the Civil Aviation Authority in Canberra, Australia. From 1989 to 1991, he worked as a senior engineer for the Naval Air Systems Command in Washington before heading back to Melbourne to become a senior professional officer for the DSTO for six years, a senior research scientist for another seven years, and finally his current role as principal research scientist.

Maintaining membership with the New York Academy of Sciences and the Royal Aeronautical Society, Mr. Molent has been named in nearly 20 editions of Who's Who, including Who's Who in Science and Engineering and Who's Who in the World. He was also a contributed author for two books: "Analytical and Testing Methodologies" in 1988, and "Structural Integrity of Aging Airplanes" in 1991.

In 2010, he was presented with the Minister's Award for Achievements in Defense Science. Mr Molent was recognized with an Order of Australia Medal (AM) in the Queen's Birthday Honors List in 2016. Married to Catherine Mary Stirling since 1992, Mr. Molent and she have two children: Alexander Stirling and Natasha Mary.
