An accomplished listee, Mr. Nemec celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Mr. Nemec is an Oklahoma lawyer specializing in trust and estates law, and, in particular, client counselling, the probate of wills, the settlement of estates and trusts, estate and gift tax planning, and the drafting of trusts, wills, advance directives for health care, and other relevant documents. Mr. Nemec is proud of becoming invested in all the people he has met over the years as clients, as colleagues, and in his official capacities, especially at his alma mater, the University of Tulsa, where everyone he worked with helped to create a large community.

A Tulsa native, Mr. Nemec was born to Milton L. and Betty D. Nemec in 1949. Mr. Nemec's grandfather was a bailiff who, together with the television program "Perry Mason," inspired Mr. Nemec to a love of the law as a way to help others. He earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Tulsa in 1971; and he was invited to attend the 1971 U.S. Naval Academy Foreign Affairs Conference where Mr. Nemec participated in a week of conversations, debates, seminars, and speeches regarding the conflicts in the Middle East and other topics, all of which were related to U.S. foreign policy.

In 1976, Mr. Nemec earned a JD from the University of Tulsa and was in the private practice of law for two years before joining the Oklahoma State University Foundation in 1978 as associate director of deferred gift programs. In 1980, he went on to the Bank of Oklahoma as a Trust Officer, and in December, 1980, he joined the Bank of Commerce and Trust Company in Tulsa, where he served as a Vice President and Trust Officer. Five years later, Mr. Nemec returned to the private practice of law, and in 1989, he joined Hall, Estill, Hardwick, Gable, Golden and Nelson, P.C., becoming a shareholder in 1993, after which he practiced law as a shareholder in the firm through 2014, and then chose to become of counsel to the firm in 2015.

Mr. Nemec is or has been a member of a number of professional groups, including the Tulsa Estate Planning Forum, the Tulsa Tax Forum, the Tulsa Title and Probate Lawyers, the Tulsa County Bar Association, the Oklahoma Bar Association and the American Bar Association. In addition to his legal achievements, Mr. Nemec has been active with the University of Tulsa College of Law Alumni Association, and served on the long range planning committee of the College of Law. He was named the 2013 Outstanding Senior Alumnus by the College of Law. Mr. Nemec, an Eagle Scout, has volunteered his time with the Boy Scouts of America; and he served on the major gifts council of the Tulsa chapter of the American Heart Association.

In 1970, Mr. Nemec married Vivian Strobel, his high school sweetheart; they have three children, Adam, Jennifer and David, and 2 grandchildren. Their happiness caught the attention of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Tulsa, which named his family the 1985 Tulsa Family of the Year, an annual prize given to families outside of the Mormon faith. Mr. Nemec, who is a Roman Catholic, and his family were deeply honored by the award. Additionally, Mr. Nemec is very honored and humbled to have been chosen for the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. Mr. Nemec is also included in numerous volumes of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, as well as the 1993 to 1994 volumes of Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
