Supported by over 10 years of industry and academic experience, Dr. Hong currently works as a research professor at Seoul National University. Earlier in her career, she held the same role with the Applied Rheology Center at Korea University. After serving there for one year, she lent her scientific expertise to the University of Queensland, Soongsil University, Michigan State University, and with Korea University in a second term.
A graduate of Seoul National University and Jeju National University, Dr. Hong holds a Bachelor of Science, a Master of Science and a PhD in Chemical Engineering. In order to remain active and engaged among her professional circles, she affiliates herself with The Society of Rheology and The Korean Society of Rheology. Throughout her career, she has obtained nine patents in the field, and contributed her knowledge to three book chapters and more than 40 research papers regarding the dispersion of particles in emulsion, CNT dispersion, and rheology.
Beyond her status as a respected and hard-working figure in her field, she has been recognized many times for her professional endeavors, earning the Young Scientist Award through The Society of Rheology in 2016.
