Ronald Gene DeBock, PhD, Named a Lifetime Achiever by Marquis Who's Who

    PUYALLUP, WA, October 04, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to name Ronald Gene DeBock, PhD, a Lifetime Achiever. Dr. DeBock is a former military chaplain who founded a successful real estate company after serving to the rank of lieutenant commander with the U.S. Naval Reserve. From 1975 to 2011, he was the owner of Rainier Rentals, now Rainier Rentals and Sales, in Puyallup, and from 1993 to 2009, he was the founder and owner of Fireball Publications. In 1993, Dr. DeBock published his autobiography, "Practice What You Preached," documenting his extraordinary life and times.
Born in Buckley, Washington, in 1928, Dr. DeBock attended Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington before being commissioned as an ensign with the U.S. Naval Reserve in 1957. He served as a chaplain with the Naval Reserve through the Vietnam War from 1958 to 1971, returning with the decoration of the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm. Dr. DeBock went on to study theology at the Western Evangelical Seminary in Portland, Oregon and earned a master's degree in divinity in 1960. After leaving the armed forces, Dr. DeBock started Rainier Rentals, continuing to study at Tacoma Community College. In 1979, he earned a Ph.D. from the California Graduate School of Theology.

Dr. DeBock has also served as an American Sign Language instructor in Orting, Washington. In his civic circles, he has been active with the Pierce County Republican Convention as a charter member and was appointed to the Republican Presidential Task Force as a patriotic program presenter. From 1988 to 1996, he supported the Aloha Hotel Chapels Ministry in Honolulu, and from 1993 to 1996, he served with the board of directors for Romanian Renewal International.
Dr. DeBock was named 1967 First Alumnus of the Year at Northwest University, and received a 1975 Delta Epsilon Chi Award as well as a 1992 Paul Harris Award from Rotary International. He is a member of the Washington Association of Realtors, the Puyallup Chamber of Commerce, the Military Chaplains Association of the U.S.A., American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S., and the Disabled American Veterans charity group.

For exceptional military service, entrepreneurial acumen, and years of religious service, Dr. DeBock was selected for inclusion in numerous volumes of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in Finance and Business, two volumes of Who's Who in the West, and the 1998 to 1999 volume of Who's Who in Finance and Industry. He married Donna J. DeBock in 1949, with whom he had three children, Beverly, Gary, and Janice. Dr. DeBock likes to play Scrabble, and enjoys learning languages as well as investing in real estate.
