New Online Virginia Vacation Rental Listing Site Gaining Strength

Virginia Vacation Rentals (www.VAvacationrentals.com) has been live for just over 12 weeks and homeowners and renters are reacting with favor.

CHINCOTEAGUE, VA, October 18, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A new online Virginia Vacation Rental listing site is gaining strength as the large listing sites, such as VRBO (owned by Expedia) are imploding amongst renters and homeowners.

"What Expedia has done to vacation rental homeowners is awful, treating their homes as their inventory," said Bunnie Riedel, owner of Virginia Vacation Rentals (www.VAvacationrentals.com). "In addition, they are abusing renters by charging them a huge booking fee just for the privilege of booking online."

Riedel, who is a vacation rental homeowner in Virginia, had to leave VRBO in April, after listing her property for nine years. And soon after, created a website for Virginia vacation rental homeowners with no booking fees and complete homeowner control.

"I'm so glad I left when I did. Every day I hear more horror stories coming out about the new Expedia model," said Riedel. "They're charging renters up to a 15% booking fee, telling homeowners how they should list or price their homes, preventing homeowners and renters from communicating with each other and now levying fees per booking on homeowners."

Virginia Vacation Rentals (www.VAvacationrentals.com) has been live for just over 12 weeks and homeowners and renters are reacting with favor.

"We offer the simplest model. Virginia Vacation Rentals is a pure listing site. Our goal is to market your rental home and drive renters to your house. Period," said Riedel. "We're giving a generous 6 month Free Listing and then just $99 per year per home."

As for the types of properties Virginia Vacation Rentals accepts? Acceptable rental properties include houses, condos, and villas, as well as barns, boats, bungalows, cabins, cottages, estates, mansions, apartments and yachts. Virginia Vacation Rentals does not accept properties that are renting out rooms, or multiple rooms like Bed & Breakfasts.

"As a vacation rental homeowner myself, I think it's time we take our power and our houses back," said Riedel. "This is my investment and my sweat equity. If VRBO wants to clean, paint, repair, keep the toilets clear and carpets clean; then, we can have a conversation. But until then, they need to just dry up and blow away."
