Marna Lynn Invited as Expert Commentator at Viewing of "Screenagers"

    RIDGEWOOD, NJ, October 20, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marna Lynn the founder and director of Bergen Family Therapy in Ridgewood, NJ., has been invited as an expert commentator to speak following the viewing of "Screenagers-Growing Up in The Digital Age", Thursday, 7PM October 19, 2017 in Ridgewood, N.J.

The Screenagers documentary produced by physician and award-winning filmmaker Delaney Ruston reveals how tech time impacts kids' development and offers solutions on how adults can empower them to best navigate the digital world and find balance.

Ms. Lynn looks forward to the viewing and to the conversation with the community that will follow afterwards. "Our society as a whole has become increasingly consumed by screen-based activities but how is this effecting our children and shaping the world we live in? It is certainly time to evaluate the impact of video gaming, and social media on self-esteem, social skill development, academics, creativity, brain development and internet addiction. Parents need to understand why balance is needed and learn when and how to implement constructive management of screen time," stated Ms. Lynn.

Screenings are purposefully available only through community events. So far, more than 2000 community and school screenings have occurred. Organized by PTA members, teachers, religious groups, afterschool programs, and many companies such as Google, Pixar, Starbucks, Intel, Microsoft to name a few.

Ms. Lynn's knowledge, experience and understanding of the human bond, cutting edge brain science and psychology will be used to weigh in on the effects the digital world is having on relationships and brain growth.
