Lee Sang-Hoon, PhD, Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

A professor of engineering at the Korean National Defense University, Dr. Sang-Hoon is also known on campus as a recent former dean of the graduate school of defense management.

A professor of engineering at the Korean National Defense University, Dr. Sang-Hoon is also known on campus as a recent former dean of the graduate school of defense management between the years of 2012 and 2014. Highly educated in his field of expertise, Dr. Sang-Hoon completed a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering at Sung Kyun Kwan University in 1978, a Master of Science in Computer Science at Yonsei University in 1989, and a PhD in Information Engineering at Kyoto University in 1997.

Early in his career, Dr. Sang-Hoon served as an engineer for Samsung Heavy Industry (Samsung Group) during the early 1980s. By 1985, he had become a researcher at SungShin University of six years, followed by another two years in the same capacity at Kyoto University. In 1998, he accepted his first teaching role as a professor at Chung Wun University, and later, he began as a professor at KNDU in 2000. From 2009 to 2012, he simultaneously served as KNDU's head librarian.

KNDU is a national university in Seoul, Republic of Korea, whose mission is to improve students' planning, execution, and evaluation abilities of national policy. Providing education on national security policies, national defense management, and joint/combined operations, the university aims to train members of staff to become leaders capable of handling affairs of national security.

Honored with inclusion in the 2016 edition of Who's Who in the World, Dr. Sang-Hoon is married with two daughters. In his spare time, he loves to play golf.
