Regina Allen-Wilson Recognized by Marquis Who's Who for Excellence in Human Resources

    MATTESON, IL, November 28, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Regina Allen-Wilson has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Dr. Allen-Wilson has taken great pride in training and helping individuals reinforce their areas of strengths through strategic individual assessment. Regina has always had a tender heart for working with the young, seniors and underprivileged. She is a seasoned human resources management/executive whose extensive experience and faith helped her to successfully launch her company - AW/Associates, LLC over a decade ago, providing customized training in Conflict Resolution, Teambuilding, Self-Esteem, Basic Job-Readiness Skills, Time-Management, Self-Motivation, Spirituality and Business/Social Etiquette.

Dr. Allen-Wilson is truly a woman who wears many hats. In addition to operating AW/Associates, she is an award-winning poet and published author, inspirational/motivational speaker, certified life coach, and certified victim's advocate. She has written nearly 700 poems and published five books to date. She has been interviewed on several local, regional and national talk radio programs and public television, published in municipal news, gospel magazines and local newspapers, on social media and in numerous anthologies. Regina has also performed at Chicago Children's Museum, been featured as a Keynote Speaker, and performed in several plays at The SPAA Theatre & Performing Arts Center in Park Forest, IL. She joyfully serves as the Illinois South Suburban Chapter President of The SPAA USA and as a dedicated Ministry Leader for her church - The Faith Community of St. Sabina.

Dr. Allen-Wilson says, "As a child, I was taught by my beloved parents to believe, to achieve and to give back." Therefore, the following awards/ honors are humbling and most cherished: 2017 "National Chapter President Award" - The SPAA (Speakers, Publishers and Authors Association); 2016 Inducted into the Wendell Phillips Academy High School Hall of Fame; 2016 "Speaker of The Year Award"- The SPAA, 2016 and 2015 "VIP Leadership Award" - Strathmore's Who's Who; The 2014 "Inspirational Woman of the Year" - Women's Radio Network of New York; 2011 "Business Woman of the Year" - The National Association of Professional Woman; Three book awards (2010): the "Silver" and the "Blue Ribbon Award" for her children's book Something About My Face from the Young Voices Foundation; 2011 "Publisher's Choice Award" - Family Magazine (Los Angeles, CA); "Poet Fellow" Award (Noble House of London, England). In 2007, Recipient of the "2007 Resolution Award" and the "Guardian Angel Award." from Former Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley for her dedicated community service. She has also received a personalized note and photograph from Dr. Maya Angelou in recognition of her book The Love Inside Me - A Poetic Diary, for which Regina was "The Featured Poet and Author" in the Chicago Defender Newspaper in 1996.

In addition to her successes, Dr. Allen-Wilson is an avid supporter and member of numerous organizations: NAACP, NAFE, NAPW, SHRM, Black Writers Association, American Academy of Poets, Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, American Cancer Society, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Salvation Army, Feed the Children and Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage. Regina holds a Doctorate of Religious Studies from GMOR Theological Institute of America, and a MBA and Bachelor of Arts Degree. She is an active book donor and reading tutor volunteer. Her children's books Something About My Face and Bobo and The Pooch have been generously donated to the University of Chicago's Comer Children's Hospital and Advocate's Children's Hospital. Other book donations have been made to local schools, libraries, shelters, teachers in South Africa and churches. Dr. Allen-Wilson is a loving wife, mother, relative and friend who gives God the glory for all she does according to "His Will."
