Sandra Jeanquart Miles, PhD, Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

    MURRAY, KY, December 01, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Sandra Jeanquart Miles, PhD, with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Dr. Miles celebrates many years' experience in her profession, and has been noted for teaching and research achievements, leadership positions, and other credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. Entering the profession in 1991, she progressed through the normal academic promotions, and was honored with the Hutchens distinguished professorship in the Bauernfeind College of Business at Murray State University in Kentucky in 2016. She has earned the distinction of Academic Fellow through the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) in London, U.K., for her contributions to the human resource management field at the global, national, and local levels. She also earned certifications through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) as a senior professional of human resources (SPHR) and a global professional of human resources (GPHR). Dr. Miles teaches in the area of human resources management. She also oversees the HR program, which was created under her supervision and has since become certified through the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) educational guidelines.

With an extensive background in the Human Resources field that has included the pioneering research in employee branding, organizational capital, recruitment, and employee voice, for which she has been widely published, and provided numerous lectures and presentations throughout the world. Dr. Miles has served as a professional consultant for several organizations during her tenure from training to HR audits. Additionally, she has served extensively on the global development of human resource management standards for the Organization for International Standardization (ISO) Technical Committee (TC) 260, U.S. Technical Advisory Group, and was elected Vice Chair in 2014, and Chair in 2017. She has also represented U.S. interests as an elected delegate 2011-2017 at the plenary meetings in which all the countries gather to decide on the work of the global initiative. In 2017, she was selected to be the acting Chair for ISO TC 260 at the plenary meeting in Bali, Indonesia, convening the meeting with 20 countries represented.

She is the Convener for ISO TC 260 work group 5 on recruitment, and led the work group of global recruitment experts representing 20 countries to publish one of the first global standards, ISO 30405: Recruitment. The work group also is responsible for a standard on the candidate experience, and a standard revision for ISO 10667 parts 1 and 2. She holds leadership positions with the metrics and workforce management work groups. Dr. Miles also aided in the development of the human governance standard, and is one of nine global experts to serve on the ISO TC/260 chairman's advisory group. Dr. Miles also served the human resource profession on the state and local level, where she held several key positions with the Kentucky's SHRM's state council for 10 years, including as state director, district director, and newsletter editor. She was also on the SHRM area II board of directors, covering nine states, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, and Bermuda. Furthermore, she is past president of Four Rivers Society of Human Resource Management (FRSHRM) and a charter member of the executive team earning the SHRM charter for the FRSHRM.

Dr. Miles, continues to serve the profession through academic and professional boards of directors. She serves on the board of directors for the HRCI. Her research has earned her a position on the review board for Business Horizons, a professional journal published through Indiana University. She also served on the board for the Council of Entertainment Industry Professionals from 2012 to 2014. After conceptualizing and shepherding the development of the Center for International Business and Trade, a partnership among business, academics, and government hosted by Murray State University, she continues to hold a board position to guide the strategic initiatives of the center.

First earning her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Miles then completed both a Master of Business Administration and PhD at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. The proud mother of one, she has been included in the 63rd edition of Who's Who in America.
