William Thomas Stewart Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

After spending a year as a management trainee for Southwest Bell Telephone Company in Houston, TX, Mr. Stewart relocated to the field of education, teaching for the San Juan School District in Carmichael, CA, from 1962 to 1999. Retiring after 37 years in the traditional classroom, Mr. Stewart accepted the opportunity to teach college level students as an instructor at Western Career College in Sacramento, CA. He maintained his new position for five years. Mr. Stewart additionally spent several more years as a student teacher supervisor at National University, Chapman University, and California State University, before retiring once again in 2015.

Mr. Stewart earned a BA in History at the University of Texas in 1957. He then served 2 years full time as an officer in the U.S. Army, and 4 years in the active reserve before acquiring an MA in Speech and Drama at California State University in 1969. He has authored several books, including "Dark South and Other Strange Tales," "Ronald Reagan: A Bibliography," and "International Film Necrology."

A longtime member of the National Education Association, Mr. Stewart has been highlighted in several editions of Who's Who in America and Who's Who in American Education as well as Contemporary Authors of America for his work. In his free time, he loves to direct and write plays, and he enjoyed doing extra work in films. Mr. Stewart is married to Roswitha Form Stewart, with whom he has had two children and two grandchildren.
