Marsha Daigle-Williamson, PhD, Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

    YSILANTI, MI, December 08, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Marsha Daigle-Williamson, PhD, with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. Dr. Daigle-Williamson is professor emerita of English at Spring Arbor University where she taught for more than 25 years. She received numerous Excellence in Teaching Awards between 1988 and 2003. In addition to her time spent in the classroom, she chaired the department for 17 years.

Dr. Daigle-Williamson has served as a translator for the Preacher to the Papal Household, part of the Roman Curia which gives meditations to the Pope and other senior officials of the Catholic Church. She translated nearly 20 books between 1983 and 2015, two of which were French-to-English and the remaining from Italian-to-English. Her most recent book, "Reflecting the Eternal: Dante's 'Divine Comedy' in the Novels of C.S. Lewis," was published in 2015. Dr. Daigle-Williamson has also edited seven books, published more than 30 articles, profiles, and reviews, and has participated in more than 25 papers at conferences during her tenure, including eight times at the International Congress on Medieval Studies.

Dr. Daigle-Williamson is a member of The Dante Society of America and the International English Honor Society. She holds a Bachelor's degree from the College of New Rochelle, a Master's degree from the University of Wisconsin, and a PhD from the University of Michigan.

Dr. Daigle-Williamson has been married to Peter S. Williamson since 1992. She has been listed in several editions of Who's Who in American Education and Who's Who in the Midwest.
