Jackson Plant Honored by Marquis Who's Who for Professional Excellence in Religious Studies

Mr. Plant has established two ministries, For This Time Ministries and Plant Ministries.



    HARLINGEN, TX, December 11, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jackson Plant has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

The son of Harry Jackson and Caroline Vaughn Plant, Mr. Plant attended West Georgia College in Carrolton, GA where he was a member of the Eta Phi chapter of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. In 1984 he was elected vice president of the chapter. He transferred to Pickens Technical Institute in Jasper, Ga in 1985 and graduated with a computer programming certificate in 1987. In 1988, Mr. Plant enlisted in the U.S. Navy, which he served for twenty years.

In 1994 Mr. Plant transferred to Kings Bay, GA, where he attended First Assembly of God. While there he was appointed guitarist and youth pastor. He was in this ministry until he had the opportunity to transfer to Pensacola, FL, to change jobs in the Navy. While there he had the opportunity to be the lead guitarist in the Pensacola First Assembly of God. In 1997, he transferred to Yokosuka, Japan to be stationed on the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk (CV-63). He attended the Yokota Church of God Ministry to the Military Servicemen's Center, where he was invited to join the Ministerial Ordination Program. While working for Ordination, he was appointed the single pastor and guitarist. In 1999, he was ordained as an exhorter with the Church of God. The U.S.S. Kitty Hawk was sent to the Arabian Gulf for a six-month deployment, and when he returned Mr. Plant resumed his career in the ministry as a senior pastor.

In 1999, Mr. Plant started the Yokosuka Church of God as senior pastor. During this time, he founded For This Time Ministries and served as its pastor. In 2002, he was transferred to Ft. Meade, MD. While there he was on staff at New Life Ministries in Odenton, MD as associate pastor. He stayed in this position until 2007, when he was invited to join the staff at Kingdom Victory Church in Cumberland, MD as associate pastor. In 2008, Mr. Plant retired from the Navy, and in 2010 he was ordained as a bishop by the Church of God in Cleveland, TN. Mr. Plant was invited to speak as a bishop at the state legislature of Maryland, to share his views on same sex marriage and relationships.

In 2004 Mr. Plant decided to found a new business, Plant Designz, a photographic and web development business. Between 2008 and 2016, he used his extensive intelligence computer background and went to work with the U.S. Department of Defense and the National Security Agency (NSA). In 2012, he met and married Dr. Julie M. Lauridsen. The next year, Mr. and Mrs. Plant transferred to Kapolei, HI. While there, he was appointed in 2013 as the youth pastor of the Hawaii Ministry to the Military Christian Servicemen's Center, and senior pastor in 2014.

In 2016, Mr. Plant retired from the NSA, Mr. Plant decided to rebrand and relaunch For This Time Ministries as Plant Ministries, which better fit his calling. He now holds the titles of founder and senior pastor. He moved to South Texas where he now lives with his wife Julie and their dog Huey.
