Dr. Miskolczi has been endorsed by Marquis Who's Who as a leader in the field of physics

Dr. Miskolczi has worked on several NASA projects as a senior principal scientist related to atmospheric remote sensing problems and the evaluation of the Earth's radiation budget.

HAMPTON, VA, December 21, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Ferenc Miskolczi, PhD, with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Dr. Miskolczi celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Formerly of NASA's Langley Research Center, Dr. Miskolczi is a Hungarian-born research scientist and atmospheric physicist best known for his theory that the Earth's greenhouse is a self-regulating system that balances the effects of the gases and vapors within it. A brilliant theoretical astrophysicist who has specialized in atmospheric radioactive transfer, his popular article, "Greenhouse Effect in Semi-Transparent Planetary Atmospheres," which was published in the Quarterly Journal of the Hungarian Meteorological Service in 2007, speaks in-depth about his findings. He is also the author of the article "The stable stationary value of the earth's global average atmospheric Planck-weighted greenhouse gas optical thickness" published by the Energy&Environment in 2010. Key results of his greenhouse theory may be found in his more recent article "The greenhouse effect and the infrared radiative structure of the Earth's atmosphere" that appeared in the Development in Earth Science Volume 2 in 2014. Dr. Miskolczi's greenhouse theory is the only existing valid theory that can predict and explain the observed infrared characteristics of the Earth's atmosphere, the global average water vapor content of the atmosphere, and the greenhouse effect.

Dr. Miskolczi has worked on several NASA projects as a senior principal scientist related to atmospheric remote sensing problems and the evaluation of the Earth's radiation budget. Resigning from the AS&M Inc., a NASA contractor, in 2006, he has contributed several articles to professional journals throughout his career in physics based on his studies. He has also been affiliated with The Heartland Institute, one of the world's leading free-market think tanks. A national nonprofit research and education organization based in Arlington Heights, IL, its mission is to discover, develop, and promote free-market solutions to social and economic problems with a focus on issues in education, environmental protection, health care, budgets and taxes, and constitutional reform.

Well-educated, Dr. Miskolczi earned a Master of Science in Nuclear Physics at Eotvos Lorand University in 1971, a PhD in Astrophysics at Eotvos Lorand University in 1975, and a second PhD in Earth Sciences at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 1981. He also holds a Diploma in High Level Computer Programming. Married to Ferencne Anna Szabari with three children, Dr. Miskolczi has been included in the 64th edition of Who's Who in America.

In recognition of outstanding contributions to his profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Ferenc Miskolczi, PhD, has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
