An accomplished listee, Mr. Lippincott celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Lippincott served as a paper manufacturing executive and a dedicated member of the Scott Paper Company of Philadelphia for 35 years. He has been a director in a number of high profile legacy firms, including Campbell Soup Company, the Exxon Mobil Corporation, and Penn Mutual Life Insurance. He went on to serve to the rank of captain with the U.S. Army for the next two years, and joined Scott in 1959. Scott is perhaps best known as the world's largest manufacturer of sanitary tissue products, with a history going back to Philadelphia brothers E. Irvin and Clarence Scott, who are credited with first selling sanitary tissue on a roll. Mr. Lippincott became vice president of corporate planning for Scott in 1971, as well as divisional vice president of consumer products marketing.

One year later, Mr. Lippincott was appointed corporate vice president of marketing, and in 1975, he was promoted to senior vice president in the department. In 1978, he became a director of the company, rising to president and corporate operating officer in 1980, and in 1981, Mr. Lippincott attained the role of president and chief executive officer of Scott Paper Company and one year later was named chairman of the Board, and served in both roles until his retirement in 1994.

As well as leading an iconic American brand for three decades, Mr. Lippincott served as chair of the board for the Campbell Soup Company for two years, and was on its Board from 1983 to 2008, was on the Board of Exxon Mobil from 1984 to 2008, served as a trustee of Penn Mutual from 1983 to 2008, and is a lifetime trustee of the Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia. In 1959, Mr. Lippincott married Naomi Catherine Prindle, with whom he had three children: Grant, Kevin, and Kerry. Over the years, the couple has taken in six exchange students who became part of the family, and are as proud of the students' achievements as they are their own children and grandchildren. For decades of service to paper manufacturing, Mr. Lippincott was honored for service in numerous volumes of Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in the World, and the 1991 volume of Who's Who in America: Student Version.
