William Forti Honored by Marquis Who's Who for Excellence in Manufacturing

Mr. Forti is an esteemed manufacturing executive with a wealth of expertise dating back to the 1960s.

    CLAREMONT, CA, January 29, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- William Forti has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Forti is an esteemed manufacturing executive with a wealth of expertise dating back to the 1960s. In 1991, he co-founded the William Mark Corporation with his son, Mark, in Claremont, Calif. The company was formed as a vehicle for Mark's invention, the X-zylo flying gyroscope. To this day, the William Mark Corporation remains on the forefront in the realm of flying toys. Mr. Forti utilizes his extensive manufacturing experience to serve as chairman of the company and oversee its operations.

Prior to the establishment of the William Mark Corporation, Mr. Forti held a number of management positions in business planning and development for General Dynamics in St. Louis, Mo., the International Paper Company in New York, N.Y., and Bendix Corporation in Southfield, Mich. He also gathered skills as an economist for the U.S. Congress and a financial analyst for the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, DC. His educational foundation includes a Master of Communications and a Bachelor of Science, both from the University of Richmond.

Aside from his work in the manufacturing industry, Mr. Forti served as a member of the board of directors for the Defense Orientation Conference Association from 2007 to 2010, as well as a trustee of the Naval War College Foundation from 2001 to 2007. He received special recognition for his contributions to the Naval War College foundation in 1997, and was recognized for his dedicated service to Los Angeles County in 1992, when he served on the county's Aerospace Taskforce. Mr. Forti also served on the World Affairs Council in Los Angeles in 2007. He has participated in the current strategy forum at Naval War College and in the national security forum at Air War College.

Mr. Forti's numerous accomplishments have resulted in features in the 32nd to 37th editions of Who's Who in American Business, the 55th through 70th editions of Who's Who in America, the 7th edition of Who's Who in American Education, the 27th and 28th editions of Who's Who in the West, and the 17th through 33rd editions of Who's Who in the World.
