Repack Canada's New Location Expands Co-packaging Services

Move to larger facility enables client growth through enhanced service and productivity.

TORONTO, ON, January 31, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Repack Canada, a Toronto-based contract packager, officially announces their new location this week. The contract packaging facility completed their move at the end of the year, celebrating with an open house gala for clients, suppliers and close friends in November.

The state-of-the-art facility is located at 130 Claireville Drive in Etobicoke, just north of Toronto Pearson Airport. The 55,000 square foot building is easily accessible via all major GTA highways. The move was motivated largely in response to increasing client needs and the company is now poised for growth serving current and future Canadian and US clients.

"The sheer size of this place allows us the capacity to turn around even more displays, kits, packaging, labelling... you name it. We have the area to accommodate more pallets at a time and simply turn work around faster!" comments Kate Stephen, Repack Canada's General Manager.

The co-packer specializes in all aspects of packaging for all matter of consumer packaged goods. Repack assists brands who outsource additional steps in the retail readiness of their consumer goods. Doubling capacity enables Repack Canada to fulfill projects of larger volumes than the previous location allowed. Already in the last month alone they reported an increase of 70% more product moving out their doors.

Carol Levy, Repack Canada's owner, bought the business in 2000 to add another division to complement her marketing and graphic design business, The Freelance Portfolio - now 36 years in business. It's been a successful 18 year marriage of the co-packing business with a full-service marketing and design agency. Both companies are owned, operated, and managed by an all women team.

Another advantage of the inspired meeting spaces and larger production areas is the ability to scale up every project. Retail readiness requires the creation and implementation to organize displays, kitting, club packs and redemption for national programs. Beyond hand assembly the additional space allows Repack to tackle increased automated work on their machinery, enabling them to layer production timelines for greater efficiency while simultaneously running various lines of shrink wrapping, automated cartoning, inkjet lot coding and high speed labelling.

Repack has committed a portion of their expanded floor space to additional racking, accommodating pick and pack fulfillment and long-term projects requiring inventory space. They are poised to expand these services for current as well as future customers. Both divisions have proven track records of success as they continue to grow by adapting and responding to their clients' need for greater capacity and expansion of services.
