An accomplished listee, Ms. Broussard Curol celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. A widely regarded voice in the field of library science, Ms. Broussard Curol has served as a library consultant with the Calcasieu Parish Public Schools for more than a decade. In this position, she is noted for her expertise in information sciences, as well as her extensive experience as an educator of the English language. Since 2013, Ms. Broussard Curol has taught online library courses through Northwestern State University. She maintains involvement with a wide range of industry organizations, including the Louisiana Association of Computer Using Educators.

In recognition of her contributions to the field of information sciences, Ms. Broussard Curol was recently named Librarian of the Year by the Louisiana Reading Association in 2015. Throughout the course of her career, she has received grants from the Louisiana Center for Women in Government and Business with Nicholls State University, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Fair Housing Initiatives Program, Louisiana Division of the Arts and Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities. In 2000, Ms. Broussard Curol was selected to receive the USA Freedom Corp Silver Medal of Appreciation from Beta Sigma Phi.

Prior to pursuing a career in library science, Ms. Broussard Curol was positively influenced by her high school teachers, including Mrs. Nelson, who taught her Spanish. She went on to attend McNeese State University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in 1966. During this time, Ms. Broussard Curol received guidance from Richard Reid, the library director at McNeese, who inspired her to pursue a master's degree. Early in her career, Ms. Broussard Curol briefly worked as a librarian and teacher with Cameron Parish Schools in New York. While completing postgraduate coursework through Long Island University, she served as a media specialist with the Brentwood School District and as a school librarian with Patchogue High School.

A woman of many accomplishments, Ms. Broussard Curol takes great pride in finishing college and completing a master's degree. She believes in education and enjoys keeping herself informed. To this end, Ms. Broussard Curol completed a Master of Library Science through Louisiana State University in 1987, while serving as a librarian with McNeese State University for two decades. Prior to joining Calcasieu Parish Public Schools in 2004, she worked as a media library technician with LaGrange High School from 1997 to 2004. In addition, Ms. Broussard Curol maintained a consulting business for seven years.

A respected authority in the study of information sciences, Ms. Broussard Curol has contributed numerous articles to professional journals pertaining to her areas of expertise. Most recently, she was credited with authoring "The Power of Collaboration & Content Curation with your Librarian," Region V, which was published through the Louisiana Library Association in 2017. She has maintained involvement with the organization since the turn of the century.
