Working to establish compliance policies for implementation based on contemporary analyses in the banking field, he also reviews the previous day in the banking world and works on various other projects. Founded in 1889, and building up a statewide banking system in Mississippi, Trustmark entered into the insurance industry in 1991. Providing banking, wealth management, and risk management solutions through their subsidiaries, the bank has since expanded into Alabama, Florida, Tennessee and Texas.
Staying abreast of current trends and new developments in his field as an affiliate of the Institute of Certified Bankers, where he serves as a certified regulatory compliance manager, Mr. Hettick is also affiliated as member of the Institute of Certified Bankers and the Mississippi Regulatory Compliance Group. He holds a Bachelor of Science in education from Illinois State University and a diploma from American Bankers Association Compliance and Graduate Compliance Schools.
Mr. Hettick formerly worked for AT&T as a compliance manager and for Synovus Financial Corporation as director of compliance. Attributing his success in the field to his sheer dedication, he notes that he only feels successful when his team is successful.
Not only is Mr. Hettick a talented businessman, but he is also someone who loves to give back. Currently serving on the board of directors for Christian Action & Relief for Haiti, a non-profit organization established to aide in the livelihood of Haitian families spiritually, mentally, financially and physically, he has participated in numerous mission trips not only to Haiti, but across England as well. Involved at his local church, Mr. Hettick is happily married to his wife Carol with two children and a handful of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In his downtime, he enjoys reading and following Florida State football.
