CLEMMONS, NC, March 02, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Eberhard Mueller-Heubach, MD, with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Dr. Mueller-Heubach celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

A professor emeritus at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC, since 2007, Dr. Mueller-Heubach is a licensed physician who is certified in obstetrics and gynecology and maternal-fetal medicine through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The department had gained tremendous success, moving from 63rd place to 15th place in the National Institutes of Health (NIH) research funding within the United States and was one of just five departments nationally to become a part of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Unit Network and the Women's Reproductive Research program. His department also ranked first in NIH research funding among 24 medical school OBGYN departments in the southeastern United States and fourth in NIH funding per faculty member nationally. Furthermore, Born in Berlin, Germany, Dr. Mueller-Heubach earned an MD at the University of Koeln in 1966, where he also interned between 1967 and 1968. He then moved to the United States, where he completed a second internship at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Jersey, followed by a research fellowship in reproductive physiology in the department of obstetrics and gynecology at Columbia University, and a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, where he then earned the title of chief resident from 1974 to 1975.

Dr. Mueller-Heubach served as President of the Council of University Chairs in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CUCOG) and the American Gynecological and Obstetrical Society (AGOS), the oldest and most prestigious society in the specialty, and is a member of the Society of Reproductive Investigation. He also spent 23 years as an examiner for the oral examination of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
