Rita R. Frady, Ed.D., Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

Dr. Frady has been endorsed by Marquis Who's Who as a leader in the music education industry

CANTON, GA, March 16, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Rita R. Frady, Ed.D., with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Dr. Frady celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With more than two decades of professional experience in Title I schools, she is noted for curriculum enhancement and integration of technology in music classes, organizational skills, ability to think outside the box, and providing a nurturing environment for student success - finding the "diamond in the rough". Throughout her career, Dr. Frady has taken great pride in her students' many accomplishments. She considers one of the greatest highlights to be the Music Trek Tour taken during the holidays with the 5th grade chorus. Students had the opportunity to perform for several businesses culminating in a visit to the local Cherokee County Airport. The explicable joy was seeing the excitement and wonderment on the students' faces as they ran to the windows to watch Santa arrive in a helicopter then sing their hearts out for the airport owners, staff, and personnel. Another special moment in Dr. Frady's career was when a special needs student won a leading role in the school musical and stole the show during the performance bringing the audience to a standing ovation!

Although Dr. Frady's sisters were educators, she was initially drawn toward a career in music. While pursuing a degree in piano performance, she met her husband, who ultimately encouraged her to teach. Upon completing a Bachelor of Music in piano performance through West Georgia College in 1980, Dr. Frady went on to attend Brenau University, where she completed a master's degree in elementary education in 2005. During this time, she worked as a music teacher with the Cherokee Board of Education for more than a decade. While serving as a music teacher with the Hasty Elementary Fine Arts Academy, Dr. Frady attended Piedmont College, where she became an educational specialist in 2007, and earned a Doctor of Education in 2011.

In an effort to maintain a viable presence within the educational community, Dr. Frady is an active member of the Georgia Association for Educators (GAE), Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA), Feireabend Association for Music Educators (FAME), Music Educators National Conference (MENC), National Association for Music Educators (NAfME), and National Educators Association (NEA).

A respected authority in the field of education, Dr. Frady was named Teacher of the Year by Hasty Elementary in 2010, and Canton Elementary in 2004 and 1995. She has received the Wall of Tolerance, Cherokee County Tech Blazer, and Golden Apple Awards. Dr. Frady also serves as a member of the Quaver Advisory Council for Quaver's Marvelous World of Music. Since the turn of the century, Dr. Frady has been featured in a wide range of honors publications, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, and Who's Who of American Women as well as publication of her dissertation, Music pedagogy: The dissonance between the taught, the learned, and the practiced in 2011.

In recognition of outstanding contributions to her profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Rita R. Frady, Ed.D., has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
