Dublin-based BI Solutions Company Glantus Acquires Hedgehog Analytics
The takeover is expected to generate revenues of $10 million with the next two years.
DUBLIN, IRELAND, March 18, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dublin-based tech company Glantus has just announced the acquisition of the New York-based Hedgehog Analytics. The deal with US provider of data science consultancy will give Glantus significant presence in the US, requiring increased employee numbers in sales and marketing, with further growth in support and R&D resources expected in Ireland. Total revenues over the next two years as a result of the combined merger are expected to reach $10m (EUR8.1m).
Founded in 1994, Glantus is a major provider of software solutions and artificial intelligence for Ireland and UK, and already has its US presence headquartered in New York. Hedgehog provides a range of US companies with data science consultancy, particularly in the financial services, pharmaceuticals and marketing/advertising sectors, but stops short of providing products to enable the solution. After the acquisition, Hedgehog will be providing the Glantus suite of products as options to its pre-existing and prospective customers in the US. The company will be rebranded to Glantus US, and managing director Lee Medoff will join the Glantus Group as chief analytics officer.

The deal provides Glantus with a significant footprint in the United States and presents us with a unique opportunity to scale up our business in the coming years," said Glantus CEO Maurice Healy.
This is the second major acquisition for Glantus over the past few months, after the company recently formed a partnership with UK housing solutions provider Castleton UK in a deal set to be worth around EUR10m for the company.
