CHARLOTTE, NC, March 27, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Harvard Business School (HBS) Alumni Club of Charlotte announced today their annual donations to Charlotte area non-profits were $80,000, bringing their total donations to $656,250.

Spanning more than a decade, the donations are derived from surplus tuition monies from their Management Development Program (MDP), a "mini MBA" style course.

A favorite with companies in the Charlotte region, the course is taught by Harvard Business School alumni/ae to mid-level executives, and offers the chance to study business one night a week for 13 weeks with a roster of some of the most prominent CEOs, Presidents and Managing Partners in the Charlotte region.

"Making a difference in our community is part of our mission statement, and a creed of Harvard Business School. Thanks to the MDP program we have made more than 600,000 differences," commented HBS Club President Juergen Seybold, President of Lutze, Corp.

Representatives from the winning non-profits were on hand to receive their award at the Management Development Program Celebration, held at Olde Providence Racquet Club in Charlotte.

"What a wonderful glimpse into the first-class program that the club and alumni have created for the Charlotte community…it is a win-win-win for everyone involved," Ed R. Paat, President & CEO, Catherine's House - Transitional Housing for Women and Children who are Homeless.
