She is the founder and owner of Beat the Streets, which she began to help keep children off the streets in her neighborhood by encouraging educational opportunities for teens and young adults. She has also served as the director of accounts payable for Digital Realty since 2008, and as an independent associate with Legal Shield since 2007. She has also been a financial accountant with Fairbanks Enterprises Corporate Office since 2002.
Ms. Jones began her career at Heald College, obtaining an AA there in 1991. She later continued her education at the University of Phoenix, getting a BA in Business in 2005 and an MBA in Accounting and Public Administration in 2007. She earned a second MBA in accounting in 2016 from DeVry University's Keller Graduate School of Management in 2016.
Ms. Jones is a member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women's Oakland chapter, and the National Black MBA Association. She has been recognized for her contributions by the National Association of Professional Women, who gave her a Woman of the Year Award for 2014-2015. For the near future, she intends to experience the continued growth and success of her career, and she plans to continue her work encouraging children in her area to pursue higher education.
