With more than 58 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Andrews has spent his entire legal career at Perkins Coie, a renowned national law firm. His practice has focused on labor and employment law and litigation. He has represented management in both public and private sectors over the years. Mr. Andrews began his career as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1957. His current title at Perkins Coie is Senior Counsel.

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Andrews pursued an education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, earning a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in 1955. He concluded his studies at the University of Illinois College of Law in 1960, graduating with a Doctor of Jurisprudence with honors. He was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Eta Sigma. Mr. Andrews is admitted to practice law in Washington and before the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Washington. Mr. Andrews has also served on the Board of Visitors for the University of Illinois Law School and the University of Puget Sound Law School.

Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Mr. Andrews has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He is especially proud of his work with the Endowment for Equal Justice (EEJ). Eighteen years ago, he convinced the Law Fund Board to establish EEJ to provide appropriate legal civil services to the poor. Currently nearly the $20 million mark, Mr. Andrews hopes that this fund, the largest endowment of its kind in the country, will eventually provide the appropriate number of legal service lawyers to adequately serve the State of Washington. Mr. Andrews has also served as president of the Cornish College of the Allied Arts, the local chapter of the Leukemia Society of America, the American Bar Endowment, and the American Bar Insurance Plan Consultants. Additionally, he served as treasurer of the American Bar Foundation. Mr. Andrews found success with his written works as well, having authored articles for esteemed journals in his profession.

In addition to his primary profession, Mr. Andrews remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He maintained involvement with the American Bar Association in the House of Delegates from 1967 to 1969 and since 1975, assistant treasurer from 1972 to 1974, treasurer from 1975 to 1979, on the Board of Governors from 1975 to 1979, and on the Federal Judiciary Standing Committee from 1985 to 1990. He also held the position of chairman of the Public Relations Committee for the Washington Bar Association from 1971 to 1973 and on the board of directors of the American Judicature Society from 1985 to 1989. Mr. Andrews is a member of the Seattle-King County Bar Association.

In light of his exceptional undertakings, Mr. Andrews has accrued several accolades and honors throughout his impressive career. He has been recognized as a fellow of the American Bar Foundation and the American College of Trial Lawyers. In addition, he holds an AV Rating through Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Andrews was the recipient of the Washington State Bar President's Award in 2010 and the Goldmark Distinguished Service Award by the King County Bar Foundation in 2016. Notably, Mr. Andrews was selected for inclusion in multiple editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in the West and Who's Who in the World.
