The former founder, chief executive officer and chairman of ChemTrak in Sunnyvale, CA, Dr. Singh also served as director and executive vice president of Idetek, Inc., in San Bruno, CA. Prior to this appointment, he served in various roles for Syva Research-Syntex in Palo Alto, CA, including as vice president, and was an assistant professor at Banaras Hindu University in India.

Throughout his career in the sciences, he has been issued 40 patents, edited a book and contributed numerous articles to various professional journals. He has been an invited speaker at numerous international conferences for his expertise as well. In 1993 and 1994, he was named by Ernst & Young, Inc and other financial institutions an Entrepreneur of the Year finalist.
Dr. Singh is a life time Emeritus Member of American Chemical Society and former member of several other professional organizations. He has been a trustee for The Sikh Foundation International, an organization that was established in 1967 to promote and preserve Sikh art, heritage, education, culture and religion. He is also a trustee of Sikh Temple in Fremont, CA and a founding member of the Indus Entrepreneur Group (TiE) with headquarters in Silicon Valley, CA and over 30 branches worldwide.
Earning a Bachelor of Science at Khalsa College, Amritsar, in India in 1959, Dr. Singh then completed a Master of Science at Banaras Hindu University in India in 1961 and Doctor of Philosophy at Toronto University in Canada in 1967. He then followed with a year of postdoctoral work at Southampton University in England between 1969 and 1970. He was notably an awardee for standing first for his master's degree. He was also a Canadian Commonwealth Scholar between 1963 and 1966. Dr. Singh has been included in the 21st edition of Who's Who in the West.
Married since 1963 to Rajinder K. Singh, Dr. Singh has two children and three grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoys doing photography and playing golf.
