Catherine Jane Reeve Love, Ph.D., Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

    ALBUQUERQUE, NM, December 11, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Catherine Jane Reeve Love (Reeve Love) with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Dr. Love celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and credentials and successes accrued in her field. Dr. Love's career has focused on administration and program/policy development for educational and cultural organizations. Hired as director of the Performing Arts program at the National Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque in 1999, she has since been able to use her skills and years of expertise in these areas, as well as her background in grant writing and publications development and her cross-cultural communication and bilingual language skills.

Involved in equity programs funded under the 1964 Civil Rights Act throughout her career, Dr. Love has always been concerned with these issues as they impact both educational and cultural programming. Working directly in the arts has been inspiring to her, and has opened new avenues for developing programming that is inclusive and educational as well as entertaining.

Prior to her tenure at the National Hispanic Cultural Center, Dr. Love was a senior equity specialist for the Educational Equity Center at Metropolitan State College in Denver, the executive director of the Common Thread Educational Research Foundation in Española, NM, and the director of Title IV Desegregation Assistance for the New Mexico State Department of Education in Santa Fe. She has also worked for numerous other educational organizations, beginning as a writer for the Southwest Educational Development Laboratory in Austin, TX, in 1968.

Dr. Love has served as a consultant for the U.S. Department of Education and New Mexico Arts, is the author, co-author or editor of over 30 professional publications, and has participated at various national and international conferences in her field since 1977. She is currently a member of the New Mexico Presenters Alliance and the Western Arts Alliance.

Dr. Love was a Fulbright Fellow and a Title VII Bilingual Fellow at the University of New Mexico, as well as a National Merit Scholar at Duke University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and was the recipient of several other grants and scholarships during her academic career. She has notably been included in the first edition of Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America and the 20th and 21st editions of Who's Who in the West. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University, Master of Arts from the University of Texas, and Doctor of Philosophy from the University of New Mexico.

Married to Ronny J. McDaniel, Dr. Love enjoys traveling with her husband in her free time. She also enjoys reading, listening to music, attending the theatre, and collecting folk art.
