Constance Bivens Celebrated for her Work as an Educator and Consultant

She is most renowned for her representation of the International Society of Delta Kappa Gamma at a meeting in Melbourne, Australia.

    MADISON, IN, March 06, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Constance Bivens has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Drawing upon more than 35 years of industry experience, Constance A. Bivens, EdD, is a respected educator who served Broward County Public Schools at the inception of her career in 1960, as well as at the conclusion of her career in 1997. In between her responsibilities at the Florida school district, she also served as a teacher at Jefferson County Schools and Fort Knox Schools in Kentucky, as well as Madison Consolidated Schools in Indiana. In addition, she previously acted as a consultant in the field and chairman of the K-Adult Council for Nova Schools in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in the 1970s.

Dr. Bivens holds a B.S. and M.A. from Vanderbilt University, formerly known as the George Peabody College for Teachers, and an EdD from Nova Southeastern University. A certified educator in multiple states, she is most renowned for her representation of the International Society of Delta Kappa Gamma at a meeting in Melbourne, Australia. In addition, she was the co-founder of the Virginia Nelson and Constance Bivens Scholarship through the Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana, which raises funds for students who cannot afford a college education.

The author of "Boots, Butterflies and Dragons," Dr. Bivens credits her many mentors as influences to her profound success, including her principal in Florida. Traveling to numerous countries to teach and work with other educators, she has always enjoys working with young children and opening their eyes to the wonderments of the world. In her spare time, she enjoys her involvement with the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) as a woman of faith, member of the chancel and bell choirs, and evangelism committee member.

As a testament to her success, Dr. Bivens was the recipient of the Sara Ferguson Achievement Award from Delta Kappa Gamma in 1990. She has been highlighted in numerous Who's Who publications, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, and Who's Who of American Women.
