Working out of the Warrington, PA, office, she focuses her practice on corporate finance and franchise law in both Pennsylvania and New York, specifically on corporate, venture finance, securities, franchising, licensing and distribution matters. She serves as the Co-Chair of the firm's national Emerging Companies and Venture Capital practice as well as the firm's Franchising, Licensing and Distribution practice. Furthermore, Ms. Sigety is active on the steering committee for Fox Rothschild's Women's Initiative and is member of the firm's Finance Committee. Prior to joining the firm, she was an attorney with Antheil, Maslow and MacMinn in Doylestown, PA between 1997 and 2004 and with Debevoise and Plimpton in New York City from 1989 to 1997.
In the emerging companies arena, she is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Delaware Crossing Investor Group, a network of angel investors which has been investing in early-stage companies since 2005. She is also active with a number of different committees and groups where she is able to contribute her expertise, including the Pennsylvania Angel Network, the Angel Capital Association and the Alliance of Women Entrepreneurs. She is a Board Member of the Private Investors Forum, which produces the Angel Venture Fair and other events in the Philadelphia region, and has served for many years on the various organizing committees including the technology track investor/entrepreneur outreach committee for the IMPACT Venture Summit produced by the Greater Philadelphia Alliance for Capital & Technologies. In addition, she serves on the Board of the Philadelphia Israeli Chamber of Commerce.
A frequent speaker and writer, Ms. Sigety enjoys addressing topics related to franchise and emerging businesses and matters pertaining to women's entrepreneurship. She frequently serves as a judge for pitch competitions for start-up companies for a large variety of organizations.
With respect to the franchise industry, she is heavily involved with the International Franchise Association (IFA) and has been granted the status of a Certified Franchise Executive by the IFA. In addition, she has been serving on the IFA's Women's Franchise Committee since 2013 and was the co-founder and co-chair of the organization's Philadelphia chapter of the Women's Franchise Network.
Ms. Sigety is a member of various professional organizations, including the New York City Bar Association, the Bucks County Bar Association and the Philadelphia Bar Association, as well as the Forum on Franchising and Business Law Section of the American Bar Association.
She also served as a board member for the Doylestown Hospital, the Village Improvement Association of Doylestown, the Doylestown Health Foundation and was both a board member and vice president of the Child, Home and Community in Doylestown. She has been serving on the board of the East Side House Settlement in the Bronx, NY, since 1991.
A Recognized Practitioner for Startups and Emerging Companies Nation Wide by Chambers USA for 2017-2019, Ms. Sigety has also been named a Legal Player by 1851 Franchise for 2017 and 2018, was named among the Women Leaders in the Law by ALM in 2015, a Legal Eagle by the Franchise Times every year between 2014 and 2019, and one of the Most Powerful and Influential Women in Pennsylvania by the National Diversity Council in 2012. Ms. Sigety has held a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Yale University since 1986 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Chicago since 1989. She has been admitted to the Connecticut, New York and Pennsylvania Bar Associations.
