Ms. Reynolds has been endorsed by Marquis Who's Who as a leader in the fields of music and education

DEL MAR, CA, April 29, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Karen Reynolds with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Reynolds celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Reynolds is a talented musician who has performed for many years. Her training, which began at home, continued under the instruction of Chicago Symphony flutist Arthur Kitti, then with Michel Debost in Paris, France, and Marcel Moyse in Brattleboro, VT. For several years during the late 1960s, Ms. Reynolds co-organized the CROSS TALK INTERMEDIA series in Tokyo. She also co-organized three other festivals, conducted numerous workshops with the San Diego Youth Orchestra between 1979 and 1986, and participated as an adjudicator of solo and ensemble festivals in San Diego during the 1980s. She was a selection jurist for the Sibelius Academy Music Festival at Finlandia University between 1999 and 2008 and has done work as a recording artist of electronic and instrumental music over the years as well.

Outside of her career in music, Ms. Reynolds owns her own company as a graphic designer. She specializes in posters, programs, logos, websites and printed score covers. She notably began designing posters in the 1960s for special events, concerts and festivals in Tokyo. Ms. Reynolds has established and maintains four comprehensive websites and her work has appeared on numerous CD covers and on C.F. Peters music publications.

Ms. Reynolds is a longtime member of the Music Teachers National Association, the National Flute Association, the American Federation of Musicians and Finlandia University Finnish Council in America. She is an elected member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.

A Fulbright scholar in Paris from 1963 to 1964, Ms. Reynolds has since been cited in several editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Entertainment, Who's Who in the West, Who's Who in World and Who's Who of American Women. She has notably held a Bachelor of Music in music theory, French and flute from the University of Michigan since 1962 and a Master of Arts in theoretical studies from the University of California, San Diego, since 1975.

Born in Baraga, MI, Ms. Reynolds' mother was a professional pianist and her father was a conductor. Growing up in an environment that was filled with music, she was educated in the field long before she entered college. Marrying her husband, Roger Lee Reynolds, in 1964, just after earning her bachelor's degree, she now has one daughter and one granddaughter. For more information, please visit www.karenreynolds.com.
