Dr. Kiichi Imaizumi was a linguist and professor emerita in the department of foreign studies at Kyorin University in Tokyo, Japan.

Retiring in 2014 after nearly 25 years of service, Dr. Imaizumi was a linguist and professor emerita in the department of foreign studies at Kyorin University in Tokyo, Japan. His 40-year career in education previously included excelling as a visiting lecturer of Japanese language at the Autonomous University of Madrid, the Karachi Consulate-General of Japan and the National University of Mongolia. Dr. Imaizumi also worked as a specialist of Japanese language for the Japan Foundation from 1985 to 1986.

During his career, Dr. Imaizumi served a visiting researcher of Japanese grammar at Korea University from 1998 to 1999. Responsible for inventing a three-dimensional model system of the Japanese language, he has authored several books on Japanese grammar and penned numerous articles published in scholarly journals regarding his areas of expertise. Beyond his primary responsibilities, Dr. Imaizumi was affiliated with the Japanese Cognitive Linguistics Association, the English Linguistic Society of Japan, the Society of Japanese Linguistics and the Linguistic Society of Japan.

Featured in every edition of Who's Who in the World since 2012, Dr. Imaizumi was also selected for inclusion in Who's Who in Science and Engineering from 2016 to 2017. Prior to embarking upon his professional path, he obtained a Master's degree from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies in 1975. He later earned a Doctor of Philosophy from Kyorin University in 2008. Looking toward the future, Dr. Imaizumi plans to write several more books on the new system of Japanese grammar over the next few years.
