Mr. Pacifico is a licensed clinical professional counselor in the state of Maryland who retired in 2013 after 15 years in in his field. Employed with Christian Counseling Associates, Inc., in Columbia, Maryland, between 1999 and 2013, he first served as a master's level therapist for the organization. He was also a master's level therapist for the Family and Marriage Therapy Center in Burtonsville, Maryland, from 1998 to 2002. Prior to entering counseling, Mr. Pacifico was an account representative for Wallace Computer Services, Inc., in Rockville, Maryland, for 24 years beginning in 1975.
Throughout his career in counseling, Mr. Pacifico has been active with several different groups. He was a leader of the Anger Management Group for Christian Counseling Associates from 2001 to 2012 and, after retiring in 2013, spent another six years to date as a board member, vice president and director of development.
Mr. Pacifico authored several articles in his field: "Taming Anger in Schools" in 2000, "Anger Management" in 2003, "Responding to an Angry Child" in 2007, and "Anger Prevention and Management: Breaking the Cycle" in 2009. He is currently penning a new book on why people get angry. With the help of Mr. Mark Croft, a former deacon and mentor of Mr. Pacifico's, from his church, he has helped in determining how to isolate these causes. Mr. Pacifico is notably a former worship assistant, lay leader and elder at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Columbia between 1998 and 2013.
During Mr. Pacifico's tenure with Wallace Computer Services, he was named to the Sales Millionaire's Club in 1997. He has since been cited in the 59th through 63rd editions of Who's Who in America and the 23rd and 26th editions of Who's Who in the World.
Born in Grosse Ile, Michigan, Mr. Pacifico did not grow up with the best childhood. As a result, he dedicated his life to mental health. Mr. Pacifico has held a Bachelor of Science in psychology since 1972 and a Master of Business Administration in marketing since 1975 from the University of Maryland. He has also held a Master of Science in counseling psychology from Loyola University Maryland since 1998. In addition to becoming a licensed clinical professional counselor in Maryland in 2002, he became a trained instructor through the Couple Communications Program in 2007.
Married to his wife Claire, Mr. Pacifico and she have been happily married for 47 years. They share two sons whom are both married, as well as four grandchildren. Mr. Pacifico enjoys spending his free time staying active by biking, hiking and golfing. He is also an avid nature photographer and is a member of the North American Nature Photography Association.
