Certified as a teacher and an administrator in the state of Kentucky, Mr. Clinkenbeard has found success as an educational consultant since 2011. Prior to that appointment, he contributed as an educational services coordinator for the Northern Kentucky Coordination Committee with Strive Partnership, between 2010 and 2011, having previously served in the same role with Newport Independent Schools in Kentucky, from 2006 to 2009. During his tenure with the Newport Independent Schools, Mr. Clinkenbeard held the posts of an art teacher, a chief negotiator, an assistant principal, a director, an assistant principal, an acting principal, and a full principal between 1978 and 2006. In addition, he has worked as a freelance artist and designer since 1977. Utilizing his knowledge in the field, Mr. Clinkenbeard is occasionally active as a juror for arts shows and as a speaker at local school programs.
Before embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Clinkenbeard pursued a formal education at Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky, earning a Bachelor of Science in 1977. Soon thereafter, he completed postgraduate coursework with the aforementioned university in 1978. Mr. Clinkenbeard subsequently obtained two Master of Education degrees from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1985 and 1987.
Civically, Mr. Clinkenbeard has been involved with a number of local organizations, such as the Kentucky Task Force for Comprehensive Arts, the Kentucky Citizens for the Arts, and the Ashbury United Methodist Church. He was also enlisted in the United States Air Force from 1971 to 1975. For his accomplishments in the field, Mr. Clinkenbeard has been presented with the Excellence in Art Award from Murray State University and the District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver from the Boy Scouts of America.
Likewise, Mr. Clinkenbeard has been selected for inclusion in editions of Who' Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America. To remain aware of changes in the field, he is affiliated with the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the National Education Association, the Kentucky Art Education Association, and the National Art Education Association, among others. Outside of his primary responsibilities, Mr. Clinkenbeard enjoys reading, sports, and working with the youth in his spare time.
