URBANA, OH, August 30, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Eunice Dunalee Bronkar with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Bronkar celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

A celebrated artist and educator, Ms. Bronkar retired from the classroom in 1994 to concentrate solely on her artwork. Creating unique, one-of-a-kind pieces of art in oils, pastels, watercolors and silverpoint in her Urbana studio in Ohio, she is probably best known for her portraits. In fact, Ms. Bronkar's fascination of portraitures began while she was still in high school, where she would often sketch classmates and images from magazines.

Ms. Bronkar's career in education began at the Springfield Museum of Art in Ohio in 1967, where she remained for 10 years. She soon after began teaching academia in 1974 as an adjunct instructor at Clark State Community College in Springfield, Ohio. During her 20 years on campus, she served as a lead teacher and headed the commercial art program. While teaching, Ms. Bronkar also began cleaning and restoring art collections in 1970 at the Historical Society in Springfield, the Champaign County Historical Society, the Masonic Temple, the Springfield Public School and the Warder Public Library, among other locations. She was also involved with the Clark County Junior Technical School, where she served on the advisory committee on commercial art. Further, she lent her expertise as a judge for more than 10 public high school art shows, the Logan County Fair of Fine Art Show of Ohio and the Champaign County Fair Art Show.

In the early 1960's, Ms. Bronkar began formal training under Ethel Cook, whom she considers to be the biggest influence on her work. Ms. Bronkar since graduated from Wright State University in Fairborn, Ohio, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1971 and a Master of Arts in art education in 1983. She also completed postgraduate art courses at both Wright State University and Dayton Art Institute. She is a certified art teacher in the state of Ohio.

Ms. Bronkar was commissioned to paint two former Ohio State presidents for the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution at Continental Hall in Washington, DC. Her work has been represented in permanent collections, has been exhibited in dozens of one-woman shows and group shows, and has been accepted in over 100 area, state, regional and national juried exhibitions. In 1999, Ms. Bronkar participated in the Four Artist Landscape Exhibition. In 2014, approximately 40 of her portraits were on display at the Springfield Museum of Art's Halley Gallery. Her portraits of former Springfielder and 4H pioneer A.B. Graham and his granddaughter notably hang in Springfield's A.B. Graham Building.

Affiliated with the Art Center of Saint Augustine, the Florida Art Scene, the Frame Haven Gallery and the Frame Craft Gallery in Springfield for many years, Ms. Bronkar is also an image banks participant for the Ohio Arts Council in Columbus, Ohio, and the Visual Arts Network in Dayton, Ohio, before 1994. She has also remained a figure in her professional community through memberships with several prominent art societies. Some of these include the Western Ohio Watercolor Society, the Springfield Museum of Art, the Dayton Society of Painters and Sculptors, the Saint Augustine Art Association, the Audubon Artists Society and Ohio Plein Air Society.

Ms. Bronkar was the recipient of a medal by the Bicentennial Committee of Clark County and the 4H Foundation of Ohio in Springfield in 1976. She was later honored with an Outstanding Teaching Award from Clark State Community College in 1992 and was named an Outstanding Alumni by the Springfield High School Class of 1953 in 2009. In recognition of her artistic endeavors, Ms. Bronkar has received multiple first, second, third place and honorable mention awards, Best of Show Awards and Merit Awards. A celebrated Marquis listee, she has been featured in dozens of editions of Who's Who, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in American Education and Who's Who in Women.
