Brannon Jones Celebrated for Dedication to the Field of Educational Administration

Mr. Jones founded Next Step Education Foundation to help prepare students for college admissions

    ATLANTA, GA, September 05, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Brannon Jones has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

After graduating from college with a degree in criminal justice, Mr. Jones was presented with an opportunity to work in college admissions. When he looked over applications and realized how ill prepared students were for college acceptance, he was inspired to establish the Next Step Education Foundation, where he has served as the Executive Director since 2011. As the head of the organization, he maintains responsibility for the strategic and operational advancement of programs, staff, and the foundation's vision. Since founding Next Step Education, Mr. Jones has also worked in educational administration as a Regional Recruiter and Enrollment Coordinator for Troy University between 2012 and 2015 and as an Admissions Representative for the SAE Institute in 2012.

During his tenure with Troy University, Mr. Jones liaised with different institutions to maintain articulation agreements while creating opportunities for recruiters and recruiting potential students from the general public. With the SAE Institute, he honed his analytical, communication and problem-solving skills, which laid the foundation for the establishment of Next Step Education. Prior to these appointments, Mr. Jones gained valuable expertise in administration as the Assistant Director of Retention for Sanford-Brown College.

In 2007, Mr. Jones earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Albany State University. Three years later, he obtained a Master of Public Administration, with a concentration in Adult Education from Troy University. Mr. Jones further contributes his time to his community as the scholarship chair for the Newnan-Fairburn Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated.

Due to his outstanding work in the field, Mr. Jones was recognized as an Emerging Leader by National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame Foundation. He subsequently accepted the Humanitarian of the Year Award from the Tau Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated in 2018. In 2019, Mr. Jones was named Education Author of The Year at the Indie Author Legacy Awards for his College Readiness 101 Workbook Series. Looking toward the future, Mr. Jones intends to build upon his steady foundation and continue helping students prepare for post-secondary planning via the Next Step Education Foundation.
