Ms. Kathy Loper was honored with a Presidential Award for recognition for fundraising for USA Track and Field.

Growing up in small village in Illinois, Ms. Loper has always been told "you will get more out of giving then what you ever will out of receiving," which has driven her lifetime of giving back. For more than 30 years, she has excelled as the owner and the director of special events and international tours for her website, Kathy Loper Events, which she established in 1980. Throughout her career, she has organized and marketed local events, as well as international running tours for marathons and half-marathons, including the White Continent, Kilimanjaro, Great Wall, Everest and Uganda Marathons and the Angkor Wat Half Marathon.
Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Loper earned a bachelor's degree in physical education through Adrian College in 1964. She concluded her academic efforts with a Master of Education through Eastern Washington State College in 1968. A consistent advocate in her community, Ms. Loper devotes her time to Water for Children Africa, Rady's Children Hospital, Stand Down, and the End of Summer Run for her local high schools.
A tireless enthusiast for civic engagement, Ms. Loper has helped to organize and implement fundraising events and through a computerized race result system provides accurate and prompt race results. Due to this and other professional accomplishments, she was honored with a Presidential Award for recognition for fundraising for USA Track and Field. Looking toward the future, Ms. Loper intends to continue providing special events and international tours through her eponymous website.
