Mr. Garver has assembled a team of professionals from agriculture to artificial intelligence in an effort to solve this urgent global issue.
Previously, Mr. Garver spent 11 years as Chief Executive Officer of GEOS Response, where in 2008 he helped create the world's first international emergency monitoring and response center for satellite emergency notification devices. Before GEOS, Mr. Garver worked as a Chief Operations Officer for The Guidry Group from 2008 until 2009, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Specialty Intelligence Group between 2006 and 2008, Chief Executive Officer of Transparence, Inc. from 2002 to 2006, and the vice president of internet solutions for BSDi from 2000 until 2002. From 1989 to 2000, he honed his leadership abilities through various executive positions with Tricord Systems, Dell, Netstar, Ascend Communications, and NetOps. Utilizing the considerable wealth of knowledge, he has gained throughout his career, Mr. Garver contributed to the article "How to Endure Anything: Tap into Your Mental Fortitude with these Strategies" for Men's Health Magazine and "Leadership and Guidance Are The Issue" for the Albuquerque Business Journal. For many years, Mr. Garver concurrently served as the founder and the chairman of the Specialty Intelligence Group and as a founding member of the American Board for Certification in Dignitary and Executive Protection.
Mr. Garver studied computer engineering and military strategic intelligence at Case Western Reserve University and the American Military University, respectively. He recently completed an executive certification course from MIT Sloan/CSAIL, AI: Implications for Business Strategy. He is additionally certified as a national threat analyst, in homeland security emergency medical response, in disaster preparedness, in dignitary and executive protection, and in homeland security levels one through five by the American Board for Certification in Homeland Security.
In civic affairs, Mr. Garver contributes his time and resources to the business and local communities as a member of the Houston Business Journal Leadership Trust, as a member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, as well as local youth STEM programs. Previously, he gave back through Springhill School and Big Brothers. Due to his outstanding accomplishments, Mr. Garver was recently named CEO of the Year, and was selected for membership in the Houston Business Journal Leadership Trust in 2019. Through the aforementioned organization, he contributes articles and volunteers his opinions alongside fellow members on expert panels.
