Today, she excels as a psychiatrist with Harbor Psychologists and as the behavioral health director of Korean Community Services. Earlier in her career, Dr. Cho gained valuable expertise as a psychiatrist with Exodus Urgent Care Center at Harbor UCLA, the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health and the Orange County Health Care Agency.
Prior to obtaining her first role in the field, Dr. Cho earned a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from Louisiana State University in 1990. She concluded her academic efforts at the aforementioned university in 1995, graduating with a Doctor of Medicine. Subsequently, Dr. Cho completed an internship at Riverside General Hospital and a residency at the University of California Irvine.
Dr. Cho retains her professional alignment with the Southern California Psychiatric Society and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is further affiliated with the American Psychiatric Association as a fellow. During her spare time, Dr. Cho contributes to those less fortunate through various local domestic violence agencies, the Family Mental Health Mission of Orange County, Homeless Downtown LA and Asian Rehabilitation Services.
For her outstanding accomplishments, Dr. Cho has received multiple awards from Healthcap. Looking toward the future, she intends to make a difference at the policy level and the administrative level. She would like to see more changes as far as it pertains to quality healthcare access. Additionally, Dr. Cho would like to conduct mental health outreach services on a global scale.
