Prior to establishing his own firm, he was a partner with Epstein Becker and Green from 1991 to 2003, and served in similar roles with Ford and Harrison between 1988 and 1991, and with Walcher and Scheuer from 1985 until 1988. Earlier in his career, he worked as a partner with Costello and Walcher from 1979 to 1985 and he held a sole practice between 1974 to 1979. In addition to his primary roles, Mr. Walcher served as the director of Citronia, Inc., from 1979 until 1981 and as a judge pro tempore for the Los Angeles Municipal Court from 1986 to 1991.
Mr. Walcher first pursued an education with the University of Utah, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in 1971. He concluded his academic efforts with the school in 1974, whereupon he earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence. Since this achievement, Mr. Walcher has been admitted to practice in the states of California and Utah, as well as before the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Central, Northern, and Southern Districts of California, the District of Utah, and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Ninth and Tenth Circuits. Since 1985 he has been AV Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest possible peer review rating in legal ability and ethical standards; this is his most memorable accomplishment.
A respected voice in his areas of interest, Mr. Walcher has been affiliated with a number of professional organizations. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Owl and Key, the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, and the Century City Bar Association. He has also been active with the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Society of the Bar and Gavel, and Phi Delta Phi. Mr. Walcher has served as a trial counsel for the Utah Chapter of Common Cause. He was the American Delegate to the International Lawyers Network in Australia, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand.
Throughout his career, Mr. Walcher has been recognized for his contributions, including having been named a Robert Mukai Scholar by the University of Utah. He has been featured in numerous honors publications, including multiple editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in the West, and Who's Who in the World. Adjacent to his career, Mr. Walcher is married to his wife, Penny M. Walcher, alongside whom he is the proud parent of four children, as well as eight grandchildren.
