Ms. Bertka is a distinguished graphic designer who currently serves as a digital designer II for BOK Financial. Employed by the bank in 2018, she assists in digital marketing, online and mobile banking, and other lines of business in the creation of user flows, wireframes and design comps across multiple digital platforms. Likewise, she assists with the maintenance and implementation of the company's enterprise design language. Previously serving the company as a digital solutions group intern, she has also served such companies as Totally Promotional in Coldwater, Ohio, in 2017, Marybeth's Cottage in Jacksonville, Florida, from 2016 to 2017, and United Desert Gateway and BMoore Connected as a contract graphic designer between 2016 and 2017. At the inception of her career in 2011, Ms. Bertka served as a volunteer media team member for Cable Road Alliance Church in Lima, Ohio.
Ms. Bertka graduated as valedictorian of her class at Bluffton High School in 2016 and proceeded to earn an Associate of Applied Business in advertising art from the Modern College of Design in 2018. Ranked number one out of 52 of her class, she distinguished herself as the lead strategist and presenter of the National Student Advertising Competition Team, where her team won second place in district competitions and was recognized as Best Promotion and Best Creative. Ms. Bertka was likewise the recipient of the Daniel E. Johnson Memorial Scholarship for excellence in design and academics.
Finding that she had a natural talent for art, Ms. Bertka delved into several art programs at her high school, which exposed her to various options, forms and mediums of art. She attributes her success to her Christian faith, serving a God who has blessed her with talents and opportunities that have advanced her to great heights within both her personal life and career. Never afraid to take risks in progressing further through her life, Ms. Bertka would like to see herself continuing to grow the digital design and user experience team at BOK Financial in the near future.
In recognition of her success, Ms. Bertka won a 2018 American Graphic Design Award from Graphic Design USA. In her civic endeavors, she has served as a photographer for Guns & Ribbons Throwdown, a children's leader for Cable Road Alliance Church and a small group leader for Youth for Christ. Currently, Ms. Bertka is a youth leader and active member at Fellowship Bible Church of Tulsa.
