K. Drew Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

She first contributed her time and resources to the Jimmy Carter presidential campaign and later for the American Film Institute where she escorted movie produce Hal Roach to the Reagan White House.

Renowned for her expertise as a financial advisor and management consultant, Ms. Drew's diverse career began to take shape in 1969 as the director of the Young Women's Christian Association in Corpus Christi, Texas. She proceeded to work in politics, first and foremost becoming a Jimmy Carter Presidential Appointee. She held several positions with the Small Business Administration in Washington and for various private companies. In 1984, she founded Drew Consulting in McLean, Virginia and in 1990 served as a financial advisor for the Family Extended Foundation in Washington. Ms. Drew has also excelled as a financial advisor and a consultant for the B.O.W.L. Group in Washington.

Among her numerous community initiatives over the past 50 years, Ms. Drew very much enjoyed volunteering. She first contributed her time and resources to the Jimmy Carter presidential campaign and later for the American Film Institute where she escorted Mr. Hal Roach, movie producer, to the Reagan White House to meet with the President honoring him at the American Film Festival. She was privileged to direct the Washington D.C. Trilateral Commission event for David Rockefeller that included Japan, Europe and the United States. Ms. Drew directed opening nights at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. including Cats, La Cage aux Folles and Phantom of the Opera to raise funds for Easter Seals and the Fairfax Symphony of Virginia. She also directed the first Martin Luther King television special working with Mrs. Coretta King to raise funds for the King foundation. She has maintained activity as a member of the Presidential Prayer Breakfast in Washington since 1980, and was president of the Board of Directors of the WAR Against Broken Hearts in Atlanta in 1998. Additionally, Ms. Drew has found success as a political speaker since 2008 in The Villages, Florida where she now resides, covering events for Presidents Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush and Bill Clinton.

Ms. Drew received a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Georgia in 1958, followed by post graduate coursework at the University of Illinois between 1960 in 1961. Aligned with the National League of American Pen Women for numerous years, Ms. Drew has served on the Board of Directors and president of the Washington capital chapter. Ms. Drew is also a member of the Business and Professional Women of Washington, the National Platform Association and Alpha Gamma Delta.
