The Pines at Utica Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation Recognized for Improving Quality of Long-Term Care

Center achieved all four AHCA/NCAL national Quality Initiative goals

    UTICA, NY, February 04, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Pines at Utica Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation recognized as a 2020 recipient of American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) National Quality Initiative Recognition Program.

The Pines at Utica Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation accomplished all four national goals, including safe reduction in hospital readmissions, heightened customer satisfaction, safe reduction in off-label use of antipsychotics, and improved functional outcomes.

AHCA/NCAL honors member skilled nursing care centers and assisted living communities for their work in achieving its Quality Initiative goals.

Launched in 2012 by AHCA/NCAL, the Quality Initiative serves as a national effort to build upon the existing work of the long term and post-acute care profession. The Initiative aims to further improve quality of care in skilled nursing centers and assisted living communities by challenging member facilities to meet measurable goals in areas such as hospital readmissions, off-label use of antipsychotics, and customer satisfaction.

The Pines at Utica Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation, along with other achievers from across the country, will be honored at AHCA/ NCAL's upcoming Quality Summit in Grapevine, Texas, on March 10, 2020.
