A first-generation Mexican-American, Dr. Mora is the oldest of five children and always dreamed of becoming a doctor. Inspired by her childhood dreams of saving the world, she now excels as a physician and the chief executive officer of the Chicago Allergy Center, where she began in 2014. In the course of her civic pursuits, Dr. Mora contributes to her community through the Catholic Charities of Chicago and the American Lung Association, for which she serves as a national volunteer spokesperson.
Before entering the field, Dr. Mora earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from the University of Chicago and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 2003. Subsequently, she completed a residency in pediatrics and internal medicine and a fellowship in allergy and immunology through Rush University Medical Center in 2007 and 2009, respectively. Dr. Mora retains her professional alignment with the American Lung Association, and the American Academy of Allergy and Immunology in order to remain aware of changes in the field.
Due to the vast range of her accomplishments in the field, Dr. Mora was named as a clinical partner with the American Lung Association every year since 2015. Additionally, she received a VIP Woman of the Year Circle Award through the National Association of Professional Women and the Recognizing Excellence in Diagnostics Award through the Vascuitis Foundation in 2017. In the near future, Dr. Mora aims to experience the continued growth and success of her career.
